Setting Up Your XETA Network
XETA Network Setup Instructions
Getting your XETA Network up and running is incredibly simple:
- Power up your XETA router using the included power supply.
- Connect to your modem by plugging the Silver WAN/LAN (10GbE) port on your XETA router into your ISP modem.
- Connect to the setup network by finding and connecting to the WiFi network labeled "SetupMyRouter_0123" (numbers will vary) on your laptop or mobile phone.
- Complete the setup by scanning the QR code on the bottom of your XETA router with your phone and following the simple step-by-step instructions.
That's it - you're all set!
Adding an extender? Easy!
- Position your extender in your desired location (like a second floor) for maximum coverage, then power it on with the included supply.
- Press the WPS button - find the small white "WPS" button above the ethernet ports on your main router and press it once. It will start blinking white.
- Connect the extender by pressing the same WPS button on your extender within 30 seconds. The device will begin blinking green.
- Relax for 15 minutes while your devices automatically sync together.
Optional Improvements
Want to squeeze out even more performance?
a) Turn off your old WiFi - Disable WiFi on your ISP's modem/router to prevent interference and maximize XETA's speed.
b) Ask about bridge mode - Contact your ISP to see if their modem supports "bridge mode" so your XETA router gets a public IP address (better for streaming and gaming).
